LE PINGOUIN
LE PINGOUIN is a legendary IMOCA 60, designed for performance and boasting an impressive track record. Built in 1998 by the MAG shipyard in France, it has undergone several refits, notably in 2020 and 2023, optimizing its potential and keeping it at the forefront of competition. With its carbon Nomex composite hull and superstructure, it combines lightness and strength, essential attributes for offshore racing.
Its racing history speaks for itself: winner of the VELUX 5 OCEANS 2010/11 on multiple legs, third place in the Around Alone 2002/03, and winner of the Fastnet in 1999. It has also excelled in major competitions such as the Transat Jacques Vabre and the Vendée Globe.
Onboard, the layout is designed for efficiency and minimalist comfort, featuring a central navigation station, a compact galley, and functional berths. A multi-compartment ballast system ensures optimal balance while sailing.
