What does M.Y.B.A mean ?

Founded in 1984, The Worldwide Yachting Association (MYBA) is an internationally renowned organisation of companies as well as individual professionals in the world of yachting. The members are responsible for the sale, purchase, rental and management of yachts as well as for new construction projects and crew recruitment.

Presenting MYBA

What are the objectives of MYBA?

The goal is to support industry players on an equal basis by sharing their own knowledge to build strong, long-term and trusted professional relationships to deliver high-quality services to clients.

How is MYBA achieving its objectives?

 - Bringing together the voices of the professionals allowed the agreement on specific rules of yachting, which subsequently led to the establishment of the most widely used and respected contracts: the MYBA Sales & Purchase Agreement (MoA) or Compromise of Sale and the MYBA Charter Agreement, used for luxury yacht charters with crew. All this is in compliance with the most ethical standards and a high level of professionalism.

- MYBA is at the origin of Yachtfolio, a web tool that has revolutionized the way charter professionals organise charters, but also the organiser of the famous MYBA Charter Show (Barcelona – 25 April – 28 April 2022) and is a partner of the Palma Superyacht Village (Palma de Mallorca – April 28 – May 1, 2022).  MYBA also organises seminars.

Being a member of MYBA

To become a MYBA member, you will need to have a track record of your professional excellence, whether in charter or brokerage, inspiring confidence in the minds of clients.

BGYB became a member in 1996, only two years after its arrival in the sector. For more than 25 years, BGYB has been meeting the requirements of MYBA and participating in its development, promoting a common ground and good entreprenurial spirit between brokers when selling or chartering yachts.
