RAINBOW
The Rainbow yacht is a modern replica of the famous 1934 J Class designed by William Starling Burgess. Launched in 2012 by the Holland Jachtbouw shipyard, she boasts innovative hybrid propulsion, a luxurious Art Deco interior and exceptional racing performance. With a length of 39.95 metres, she offers elegant accommodation for 6 to 8 guests and as many crew members. Rainbow has won several awards, including Best Naval Architecture at the 2013 Showboat Design Awards and Best Sailing Yacht over 40 metres at the 2013 World Superyacht Awards.
This 39.95-metre yacht has been carefully recreated in keeping with the original plans, while incorporating modern materials and cutting-edge solutions to enhance her performance and comfort. With her carbon mast and boom, carbon fibre standing rigging and optimised hull, she offers exceptional racing performance, while being suitable for luxury cruising.
One of Rainbow's most revolutionary features is its hybrid propulsion system, designed in collaboration with WhisperPower. This innovative system enables silent electric sailing for several hours, reducing environmental impact while providing a smooth, environmentally-friendly sailing experience. What's more, the batteries are recharged while underway, guaranteeing optimum energy efficiency.
The interior of the yacht, designed by deVosdeVries Design, is inspired by the Art Deco style, evoking the elegance of the 1930s. The interiors are beautifully appointed with mahogany panelling, light oak floors and antique light fittings, creating a warm and refined ambience. Rainbow can accommodate 6 to 8 guests in luxurious cabins, with a dedicated crew of 6 to 8, guaranteeing personalised service and an unrivalled sailing experience.
