SILK
Built in 1947 by the CHIESA shipyard in Cannes, SILK is a 8 M JI racing yacht designed by the renowned naval architect François Camatte. It is one of the few French-built examples of this prestigious racing class. Winner of the Régates Royales in 1949 and the Micros in 1951, SILK has left its mark on the history of classic sailing and embodies the timeless elegance of exceptional craftsmanship. Faithfully restored according to the original plans found at the Musée de la Marine in Paris, SILK is an authentic testament to the expertise of a bygone era.
In 2016, SILK underwent a comprehensive refit worth 180,000 EUR, ensuring that this classic yacht remains in outstanding condition, both aesthetically and technically. With VAT paid, it represents a rare opportunity on the classic yacht market.
SILK is much more than just a yacht – it is a true piece of history, perfect for classic regatta enthusiasts or yachting aficionados looking for a unique sailing vessel. Its unmatched charm, faithful restoration, and remarkable performance make it an exceptional choice for sailing with elegance and character.
